Lunch at the Grand Hotel

1st Day: We will be heading north through Virginia, and up the West Virginia turnpike through Charleston, WV, and into Columbus, Ohio for our first night's stay.

2nd Day: This morning we head north to Dearborn, Michigan. Upon arrival we will visit Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. This 240-acre outdoor museum resurrects 300 years of American history through 100 buildings including Abraham Lincoln's Logan County, Illinois Courthouse; Edison's Menlo Park Laboratory; and Henry Ford's Birthplace. 3rd Day: This morning we head for Mackinac Island. We will go to Mackinaw City to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island for the next two nights. Mackinac Island is the “all natural” theme park of America. Limited to transportation by horse and buggy, bicycle, or foot. Surrounded by water, it has escaped the vast changes of time. When you step off the ferry dock, you will be in a living Victorian village. (CB)

4th Day: Today we will have a tour of Mackinac Island by horse and carriage. Some of the places you'll be visiting are Surrey Hill Square, Arch Rock, Skull Cave, and Fort Mackinac. After the tour, a delicious lunch is included at the fabulous Grand Hotel. The remainder of the day is free. (L)

5th Day: This morning we will return to the ferry, and make our way to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, home of the world famous Soo Locks. First, we will have lunch and spend some time in the downtown area. Then, we will enjoy an hour and a half river cruise through the Soo Locks on the St. Mary's River.  After the cruise, we will check into our home for the night.  Dinner is on your own in the area. 6th Day: Today we travel to the beautiful little Bavarian Village of Frankenmuth, Michigan. There are shops galore and many sightseeing delights, including the Bavarian Inn Glockenspiel Tower. Our home tonight will be in the Frankenmuth area. (CB)

7th Day: Board the coach for our ride through Ohio and into Kentucky. Our home tonight will be in Lexington, KY. (CB)

8th Day: After breakfast, we will be heading for home, arriving approximately 7:00 PM. (CB)

Special Notice: A $100.00 deposit per person is required to reserve a seat. Balance due 30 days prior to departure. Cancellation within 30 days of departure will result in payment forfeiture.
